Summary: Provide therapy and evaluation services in accordance with best practices as defined by licensing board and governing agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plans and administers medically prescribed therapy and evaluation services. Facilitates development of essential skills necessary to promote independence across all environments Duties include but not limited to the following:
Treatment and Evaluation Services
Reviews social history, psychological, medical, and previous therapy reports/records.
Meet with individual and/or parent/guardian to discuss and establish needs.
Administers appropriate tests and evaluates to determine functional level and potential.
Communicates information to team participants and provides input for treatment plan development.
Makes referral or recommendation for therapy and/or equipment.
Develops treatment plan from physician's orders and evaluation results.
Conducts individual and/or group sessions within the clinic site to work on specific goals objectives.
Communicates individual’s program and program changes to team members for consistency and reinforcement throughout all service disciplines (Education, OT, ST, PT, ABA).
Modifies treatment and equipment, when necessary, in response to development and progress within present goals and objectives.
Completes paperwork and other documentation as required by the program, licensing agencies, and funding sources, e.g., progress notes, attendance records, flow sheets, etc.
Utilizes evidence-based methods to address challenging behavior.
Accountable for maintaining 75% efficiency of direct therapy services.
Trains and disseminates information to individual and/or parent/guardian regarding treatment programs, home programming, and follow-through.
Training and Development
May provide, as requested, in-service to peers or other disciplines on specific treatment protocols and/or techniques.
Supervision of practicum students.

While performing the duties of this job, employee will comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to Easter Seals Arkansas.
Employee has access to all client protected health information of the individuals directly served by this person, except psychotherapy notes. Employee will not attempt to access any other protected health information unless otherwise approved by Supervisor or Privacy Officer.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited four-year college or university.
